Injury Update: Marshall-King and Kaufusi to miss Round 8

Jeremy Marshall-King and Felise Kaufusi are out of Sunday’s match against the Raiders in Canberra.

However, Max Plath has a chance to play after coming from the field with a foot injury in the strong win over the Storm on Good Friday.

Marshall-King sustained an infection in a nasty gash on his thigh two weeks ago and will be given another week to ensure the cut heals properly.

Kaufusi has a strained medial ligament in his knee.

Both are in contention to be back for the Dolphins’ clash against the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium in Magic Round on May 2.

“We really want to make sure Jeremy’s cut heals properly before he does anything, so the best way to look after him is to give him another week’s break,” said Dolphins’ Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans.

“Felise is in a brace at this point but if all goes according to plan he could play against the Roosters.

“Plath has a foot ligament injury, but with some luck and the long turnaround into the game, he could take the field against the Raiders.”
