Dolphins High Performance Centre funding

A Dutton LNP Government will provide $8 million to the Dolphins NRL team to help the club construct a high-performance centre and become a powerhouse of Australian sport.

LNP Member for Petrie, Hon Luke Howarth MP, said the funding would help provide a state-of-the-art high-performance facility that would be accessible to not only the club’s NRL players but also female athletes and community groups.

“I’m excited to announce that a Dutton LNP Government will provide $8 million to the Dolphins for a high-performance centre that will rival any other in Australia,” Mr Howarth said.

“The facility will cater to both male and female players, delivering comprehensive player support and development. It will have a strong connection to the club’s catchment extending from Brisbane to Central Queensland.

“This project will support training and administration, and operate as a community facility for the City of Moreton Bay” Mr Howarth said.

Chief Executive Officer of Dolphins Group, Tony Murphy, has welcomed this announcement and said,“This facility is not only vital to our rugby league program, but also important for the role that we play in the community.”

“The Dolphins have a long history of assisting community-based organisations and incorporating their needs into the final design of the facility has been part of the planning. This includes areas such as education, indigenous organisations, development of junior player pathways and women’s rugby league”.

Only the LNP has a plan to invest in our local community facilities and get Australia back on track.
