After two weeks on the road, the Dolphins are eager to reset as they prepare for their first home game of the season against the West Tigers at Kayo Stadium on Saturday.

Despite a tough start to the season, forward Felise Kaufusi remains confident in the squad’s ability to turn things around, emphasising the importance of a full week of uninterrupted training and playing in front of their home fans.

There’s been a lot of adversity at the first two rounds. We are looking forward to being back at home this week in front of our own crowd.

The disrupted start, including the change of round one location, a cyclone and an extended time away from home has tested the team. Still, Kaufusi believes the return to familiar territory will make a difference.

“A lot of short notice, turnarounds, and we are looking forward to a full week of training at our home ground and obviously playing in front of our home crowd this weekend.”

The Tigers, coming off a decisive win, will provide a tough challenge, but Kaufusi is focused on what the Dolphins can control.

“They had a good win last weekend. I know that they will be full of energy, same as us.”

With a home crowd behind them and a full week of preparation, the Dolphins will be determined to deliver a strong performance at their home opener at Kayo Stadium.
