Ahead of Friday's revised fixture, Sean O'Sullivan has come into the starting side at five-eighth, with Josh Kerr moving onto the bench, and Oryn Keeley slotting into eighteenth man. 

Kodi Nikorima, Mark Nicholls and Kenny Bromwich have withdrawn from the match.

After a long and highly anticipated offseason, the Dolphins are back in action this Friday at Suncorp Stadium, when they’ll take on the Rabbitohs at 7 PM.

This match marks a historic moment for the Dolphins, as Kristian Woolf makes his regular-season debut as head coach. Adding to the intrigue, Woolf will go head-to-head with Dolphins' inaugural coach Wayne Bennett, who now leads the Rabbitohs.

Woolf has named his round 1 lineup, and fans will be thrilled to see Tom Gilbert return to the field. Named to captain the Dolphins in 2025, Gilbert returns for his first NRL match since Round 12, 2023.

The team will also feature Junior Tupou on the wing, Daniel Saifiti at prop, and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki in the second row. All three making their club debut and officially become Dolphins players 39, 40, and 41.

Isaiya Katoa and Kodi Nikorima will steer the team from the halves, while Jeremy Marshall-King takes charge at hooker.

Kurt Donoghoe has been rewarded for his standout preseason performances across various positions, having secured the number 14 jersey as the team’s bench utility.

Veteran forward Kenny Bromwich has been named as the eighteenth man.
