Dolphins bolster forward pack with Su'a signing

The Dolphins have added size and youth to their forward pack by signing emerging prop Sebastian Su'a from the Knights for 2026.

Su'a, a towering 198-centimetre front-rower, has signed a two-year deal with the Dolphins, locking in his future until at least the 2027 season.

The 21-year-old made his NRL debut for the Knights in Round 25 last season, showcasing the talent that had seen him rise through the club's development system.

Originally from Onehunga, New Zealand, Su'a comes from a strong sporting pedigree—his father, Murphy Su'a, represented the New Zealand Black Caps in Test cricket.

A dual-code talent growing up, Su'a played both rugby league and rugby union, with his development in rugby league coming as a junior with the Mount Albert Lions.

Having joined the Knights in 2022, Su'a quickly impressed in both the Jersey Flegg Cup and NSW Cup competitions, earning his first-grade opportunity last year.

"Our assistant coach Rory Kostjasyn knows Sebastian from his time at the Knights, and we believe he will have a really good opportunity to make an impact here," said Dolphins' CEO Terry Reader.

"Having someone of that size, learning from the experience of our existing pack, makes Seb an exciting prospect for us."

Su'a will join the Dolphins for pre-season training in November later this year.
