Dolphins Community Blitz

Across December, Dolphins players and staff have been engaging with the community through a series of initiatives to bring cheer during the festive season.

Redcliffe Hospital

Sean O'Sullivan, Trai Fuller, and Tevita Naufahu paid a special visit to Redcliffe Hospital, bringing smiles to young patients in the paediatric ward. They handed out gifts donated through the hospital’s toy drive, brightening the day for children and their families.

The players didn’t stop there, visiting other wards including the emergency department, ICU, and cancer centre. Their presence was a small but meaningful way to show support for patients and healthcare staff during the holiday season.

Queensland Children’s Hospital Visit

Josh Kerr, Ray Stone, and Aublix Tawha spent their time at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, bringing comfort to patients who are spending Christmas in the hospital. The players joined the children in bedside play, offering small moments of distraction and joy during a challenging time for families.

One particularly special moment was meeting Tyde, a devoted Dolphins fan. The players presented him with a team-signed jersey, a gesture that brought a smile to Tyde and his family.

Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) BBQ

Daniel Saifiti and Harrison Graham helped host a BBQ at RBWH to thank the hardworking healthcare staff. With over 9,000 staff members, RBWH is Queensland’s largest hospital, and the event was well-received, with 1,000 staff attending.

RBWH provides care to more than 600,000 Queenslanders annually. Events like this BBQ are a small way to acknowledge the incredible work of healthcare professionals.

This Christmas, please consider giving the gift of time by donating to Queensland's largest hospital. Your contribution helps fund the world-leading researchers, doctors, and medical teams at RBWH, who work tirelessly to improve patient care and advance medical research.

Starlight Foundation Bike Donation

The Dolphins staff teamed up to build and donate bicycles to the Starlight Foundation, ensuring children of all ages receive something special this Christmas. The bikes, ranging from sizes for toddlers to teenagers, will be distributed through the Foundation’s Christmas wish-granting program.
