The Rubens set to headline the Battle for Brisbane

Award-winning Australian band, The Rubens, are set to headline the biggest game in rugby league, performing at the Battle for Brisbane.

The event, which marks a monumental clash between the Dolphins and Broncos, will be even more electrifying, with The Rubens taking the stage for a special halftime performance.

This year’s Battle for Brisbane is shaping up to be one of the season's premier events, with an unforgettable combination of the Rubens, Riverfire and rugby league.

In addition to their upcoming performance at the Battle for Brisbane, The Rubens have announced the release of their highly anticipated new studio album SODA – set to drop on Friday, 20 September. Three years after their triumphant ARIA #1 album, 0202, the band have crafted their most evolved record to date, showcasing their growth and innovation as artists.

With four Top 3 ARIA Albums to their name, including their #1 Hottest 100 hit ‘Hoops’ (certified 5x Platinum), The Rubens have solidified their place in the Australian music scene. This year alone, they have sold over 20,000 tickets nationally across 28 shows, a testament to their enduring popularity and dynamic live performances.

To celebrate the release of SODA, The Rubens will embark on an 8-date national headline tour in September/October, bringing their new music to fans across the country. The tour will see them perform in Tasmania, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, giving fans the opportunity to experience their latest work live.
