Charged: Plath fined for tripping

Dolphins’ utility Max Plath has been charged with dangerous contact (tripping) for a tackle in the 77th minute of last Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.

While not initially put on report during the game, the match review committee deemed the tackle on Nathan Cleary to be a trip.

The offence, which carries a charge grade of one, is Plath’s second for the season. He will not be sidelined for any games but instead fined $2,500, which can be reduced with an early guilty plea.
