Tesi Niu could be back on the field in a fortnight after scans revealed only minor damage to the ankle he injured against the Cowboys on Saturday night.
Niu left the field in the second half of the 28-26 victory, and will be replaced by international Herbie Farnworth in tomorrow night's match against Manly.
Scans showed that Niu's injury was related to a historic problem.
"The good news is that this is really just an aggravation of a previous ligament injury Tesi had dealt with," said Dolphins' Head of Performance Jeremy Hickmans.
"There was actually minimal new damage.
"That means he will be in line to return over the next two weeks, possibly before the Dolphins have the bye in round 14."
Kenny Bromwich, who missed the win over the Cowboys, will play against the Sea Eagles tomorrow night after being released from concussion protocol.
