The Dolphins have continued their impressive start to life in the NRL by smashing their 2023 membership number by week 10 of the new season.
With the club sitting prominently in the NRL top four after nine rounds, the Dolphins are succeeding off the field as well after this week signing up their 31,000th member of 2024.
It improves the record of 30,096 set in final round of the club's 2023 debut year in the NRL.
The milestone cements the club in the top few in the NRL for members, a mark the Dolphins have replicated across most commercial categories in 2023, including important areas such as sponsorship investment and average crowds.
Dolphins reach a new club milestone for memberships
Dolphins' chief executive Terry Reader today joined injured player Tom Gilbert to announce the new membership record.
Gilbert, who is out for the season and awaiting knee surgery, will take a prominent role this year at Dolphins' members events, gaining experience for a future career as he studies Business at university.
"In 2024 we have increased membership numbers across every category," said Reader.
"What has been most pleasing for the Dolphins in this area has been the increase in members buying packages that include match tickets in 2024.
"It is a big effort to have sold 68% more of our premium 11-game membership packages at Suncorp Stadium than we did last season."
Gilbert said the playing group appreciated the members that turned out for every home game.
It is amazing how quickly our fan base has built and the team appreciates it
"There is no doubt that the passion our fans show for the Dolphins club is playing a part in the good early form we are showing in the competition."
The Dolphins will aim to stay in the top four of the competition with a victory over the Sea Eagles at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night.
