50-50 Charity Raffle - Round 2 Update

Amidst the excitement of the Dolphins’ round 2 win over the St. George Illawarra Dragons, more than $8,600 was won in the latest 50-50 Charity Raffle, supporting Redcliffe Hospital.

Round 2’s winner, Jonathan, was in attendance for the match and left with a prize totalling $8,613.

“Absolutely unreal, I saw the numbers come up on the big screen and I was like wait a minute that’s my number. Honestly stoked, I have never won anything like this before in my life, going to use the money to try and save for a house,” said an ecstatic Jonathan after receiving his winner's cheque.

Building upon the partnership established last season, Raise if for Redcliffe Hospital volunteers have now raised a total combined figure of $64,839 through 50-50 Charity Raffles at Kayo Stadium games.

Located in the heart of the Redcliffe Peninsula, Redcliffe Hospital was established in 1965 and has a proud tradition of caring for its community. The Hospital is supported by the Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Foundation to raise much-needed funds for medical research, equipment and other initiatives that ensure patients achieve optimal health outcomes.

“The 50-50 Charity Raffle funds raised will support patient care, life-changing research and staff wellbeing at Redcliffe Hospital. This includes helping with hospital ‘wishlist’ grants for health equipment, and to make the Palliative Care Unit more comforting and child-friendly,” said Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Fundraising Manager, Sharyn Tidswell.

The partnership between the Dolphins and Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital has already helped to transform the Rehabilitation and Stroke Unit that assists people in learning to eat, talk and walk again. Marking just one of more than 50 projects funded through the great work of Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital.
