Webuild is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Dolphins Match Day Mini League, a community initiative aimed at fostering junior Rugby League participation and providing impactful experiences for children across Queensland.
As a Premiership National Rugby League (NRL) Team based in Redcliffe, and with a catchment area stretching from North Brisbane to Rockhampton in Central Queensland, the Dolphins represent more than a team, they are a community.
NRL is the most popular spectator sport in Queensland and New South Wales. With over three million attendees at live matches annually, and a staggering television viewership of over 100 million, the NRL Premiership commands attention nationwide.
The Dolphins consistently rank in the top five NRL teams for club members and boast record-breaking attendance numbers, holding a special distinction in NRL history. In 2023, their matches claimed the highest TV audience of the year, solidifying their status as a powerhouse in Australian sports.
Through the Webuild Match Day Mini League, local under 8s teams from across Queensland can play at Suncorp Stadium at one of the Dolphins' home games. This initiative is a testament to the club's commitment to community engagement, inspiring the next generation of athletes and fostering a love for the game.
Marco Assorati, Webuild Executive Director, said: "Webuild is delighted to support the Dolphins Mini League and contribute to the development of youth sports in Queensland. With our Australian subsidiary Clough, we have over 50 years of experience in Queensland, supporting the local community. We believe in the power of sports to unite and inspire the next generation, and we're proud to be a part of such a meaningful initiative."
Terry Reader, Dolphins NRL CEO, said: “We welcome Webuild to the Dolphins’ partnership family and appreciate the opportunity they are giving young players to experience the thrill of the Dolphins Mini League.”
