Valynce Te Whare and Tesi Niu will get the first crack at tying down a centre spot when the Dolphins play their first trial of 2024 this weekend.
The Dolphins meet affiliate club the Central Queensland Capras at Rockhampton’s Browne Park from 6.10pm on Saturday thanks to Dolphins Match Partner Anglo American.
Te Whare and Niu will start in the centres, with new Dolphins’ acquisitions Herbie Farnworth and Jake Averillo set to play the February 18 trial against the Titans on the Sunshine Coast.
Kurt Donoghoe and Gerome Burns will start in the halves, while former Newcastle forward Oryn Keeley will play in the back row with Mason Teague and Jeremiah Simbiken.
