The CQ Capras have been handed their first loss at the hands of the Burleigh Bears on the weekend but maintain first on the ladder.

- Edrick Lee scored the opener and again in the 68th minute
- Centre Olive Gildart racked up 150 metres and bagged a try for his efforts
- Kurt Donoghoe slotted into five-eighth after dropping back from the NRL side
- Burleigh are now equal on 14 points with the first-placed Capras
What the coach said
"It was a good game of footy and a tough contest.
"We had our opportunities in the second half but just couldn't execute toward the back end of the half.
"Lachlan Hubner played a solid 80 minute performance in the middle of the field." - Lionel Harbin, Capras Coach.
