Mark Nicholls will captain the Dolphins for the first time tonight against the Cowboys in Townsville.

Nicholls will start in the front row in place of club captain Jesse Bromwich, who is out with a throat infection.

Ray Stone has also been promoted off the bench and will start at prop.

Herman Ese’ese goes back to the interchange list where he is joined by Poasa Faamausili.

JJ Collins is the new 18th man for the match that will be played in front of a sell-out crowd at Qld Country Bank Stadium.

The Dolphins’ backline will start the game as it was named on Tuesday, with Kodi Nikorima to play in the halves and Edrick Lee to start his first match for the Dolphins on the wing.
