A new era of Dolphins history is underway. What an opening month it has been in our journey into our inaugural NRL season.
The support we have received from our Members and fans has been overwhelming. 27,000 and counting have decided to join our new history as Members of the Phin family.
Thank you to each and every one of you for answering the call and supporting us.
Our key mission as we built this football club was to create a team you can be proud of. For the past 75 years, the Dolphins have instilled fear in their opponents with their ferocious physicality, relentless work ethic, refusal to give up, and putting their bodies on the line for their brother beside them. It’s clear from our first forays into the NRL, our Dolphins team are built on the same values. It is also clear our proud fan base is the embodiment of these values.
Round 1 vs Roosters: You were among the 32,000 that turned Suncorp Stadium red, white and gold, guiding our team to a historic win over an NRL heavyweight.
Round 2 vs Raiders: A sell-out crowd, you stayed the entire time enduring torrential conditions to will our team home.
Round 3 vs Knights: Our interstate and travelling supporters ensured there were Red ‘Phins on the road to make them feel at home.
Round 4 vs Broncos: You descended on Suncorp Stadium to ensure our team knew it was our home game. A record-setting crowd, which provided the electric atmosphere to give our team the belief they could overcome the incredible adversity they suffered. While we came up short on the scoreboard, that was the only place we didn’t win on the night.
Make no mistake, without your support we wouldn’t be in this position. Whether you’re supporting us locally in Brisbane, Moreton Bay or the Sunny Coast attending our home games, living interstate or even internationally, we are so thankful and greatly appreciate you. We have been blown away by the support seeing you at our home games and on social media having fun getting your phins up.
Our new history has only just begun. There will be incredible highs, and challenging lows but it will be you, our Members and fans, who will be the foundation to keep us on the path to success.
