Rugby league fans will have the chance to secure their place at our most anticipated NRL matches in Brisbane in 35 years from today.

Match tickets to the Dolphins’ NRL home games in Brisbane will go on sale to the general public for the first time through Ticketek from 11am (Qld time) this morning.

This will include tickets to two of the biggest blockbusters of the 2023 NRL season – the Dolphins’ debut game against the Roosters on Sunday, March 5 and the ‘Battle For Brisbane’ on Friday March 24.

The Battle For Brisbane will pit the new NRL team against their cross-town rivals the Broncos at the Dolphins’ new home ground of Suncorp Stadium.

On a night the Broncos will run out from the stadium’s away team sheds, they will face another Brisbane team for the first time since playing the now-defunct South Queensland Crushers in their final year of 1997.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins’ season opener against the Roosters at the same venue on March 5 will rival the Broncos’ debut against the Sea Eagles back in 1988 as a day for the city and state to remember.

These games are truly going to be moments that will allow you to say in the future that ‘I was there...’

Terry Reader

“There is no doubt that the Dolphins’ opener against the Roosters will be a match that people remember in Queensland rugby league history – like the first State of Origin game in 1980 and the Broncos’ debut match in 1988.

“And I am certain the match against the Broncos will be just the first instalment of what will become a huge and healthy rivalry between the two Brisbane teams and stadium co-tenants.”

Tickets to all 10 of the Dolphins’ home games at Suncorp Stadium (seven matches) and Kayo Stadium (three matches) at Redcliffe will be available through Ticketek from 11am this morning.
